WALKATHON (FOR BREAST CANCER AWARNESS)

Forty students of Std IX and Std XI took part in the ‘ONE WALK ONE HOPE’, 13th annual walkathon to commemorate International Breast Cancer Awareness Month on 30.10.2022(Sunday) at Olcott Memorial School (Besant Nagar) . This programme was organized by Can-Stop( Cancer Support Therapy to Overcome Pain ) of the Sundaram Medical Foundation and Rotary Club of Madras. Dr.Vijaya Bharathi,Rtn Jayshree Sridhar,President RCM, Rtn. Nandakumar ,Dst.Governer RI 323Rtn Seshasai and other distinguished Rotarians were present at the event. Mrs Radhikaa Saratkumar lent her support with her presence.

The programme began with Zumba dance and lighting of candles. The rally commenced from the Olcott Memorial School at 7.30 am covered 3.5 km and ended at 8.30 am.

This rally gave an opportunity for the Interactors to support and remember the survivors and most importantly take home the message of strength and hope.
